More than 60 parents attended a Silverstein Hebrew workshop for parents with child psychologist, Dr. David Pelcovitz.
This was the first of many programs that the Great Neck school has organized to give parents free access to Pelcovitz’ teachings.
“Dr. Pelcovitz’ vision on raising children in a challenging and confusing world is well respected, and we are honored to connect him with our students’ parents,” said SHA Associate Head of School Chanie Geisinsky.
Pelcovitz has published and lectured extensively on topics related to education, parenting and child mental health. Issues he commonly advises on include how to set limits for children, saying “no” without damaging the parent-child relationship, and the balance of using digital-technology as a tool without over-exposing children.
