Race is on to boost Achiezer

CIMBY — which stands for Chesed In My BackYard — is on a roll to help Achiezer, the Five Towns-Far Rockaway commnity resource center whose wide-ranging services and referrals are available to everyone.

This year’s fundraiser is a prize-generating virtual competition for runners and cyclists of all levels, working from socially distanced locations to turn their athletic efforts into dollars for Achiezer.  

Each participate commits to raise a minimum of $500; the more one collects the more swag one receives, with prizes ranging from a hoodie to a home work-out station and a Peloton bike. All participants will be treated to an exclusive dinner.

After signing up, cyclists and runners are off to the races, and can track their exercise data online.
