Touro University President Dr. Alan Kadish announced on Monday the launch of a new integrated School of Business, bridging the university’s undergraduate and graduate business programming. Dr. Lawrence G. Singleton, a veteran business school leader with a record of innovation and growth at top-tier institutions, was named as its founding dean.
Kadish said Singleton “is expert at aligning business education with the evolving demands of the global economy, and we know he will prepare our students to succeed in the modern workplace.”
Most recently, Singleton was dean of the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, where he led a community of 3,500 students and 85 full-time faculty. Prior to Pace, he was dean of the School of Management at Marist College and held leadership roles at the George Washington University School of Business.
“I am excited to shape a business school designed for the future — one that fully embraces artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital transformation, and emerging technologies as central pillars of business education,” Singleton said. “Touro’s vision of integrating traditional business disciplines with areas such as AI-enabled decision making, fintech and healthcare innovation reflects the direction in which business education must evolve.
“My vision is to embrace the tech revolution while remaining anchored in the values of service and commitment to enriching society that define Touro.”
Singleton will also lead the effort for the new Touro University School of Business to achieve AACSB accreditation, the global gold standard for business education.
