Intergenerational Day at HALB’s Lev Chana ECC

Posted

Every fall, the call goes out to grandparents and great grandparents of students at HALB’s Lev Chana Early Childhood Center to come together for Intergeneration Day.

Assemble in the SKA gym, members of the older generation sit and shep nachas as they watch and listen as their kindergarteners perform a medley of songs. They then join their grandchildren at various centers in creating beautiful memories to take home.

Words cannot describe the intense loving connection between these generations of family. The children smile widely and wave happily as they spot their beloved grandparents, while the grandparents wave back and zip out their smartphones in anticipation of the performance.

Family portraits magnets are taken in front of a colorful  backdrop and grandparents and grandchildren create beautiful art projects based on a Shabbat theme.
