Festive ball-drop at Parker Jewish Institute

Posted

The Parker Jewish Institute joined local police and fire departments to stage its second annual “Sea of Lights” and Times-Square-style ball-drop celebration at the Parker campus in New Hyde Park on New Year’s Eve.

This festive event for Parker’s residents, patients and their families and Parker team members was highlighted by an in-house-built ball that outshined last year’s. Members of local fire departments contributed to the Sea of Lights celebration. After the ball drop, outdoor merriment continued at Parker with refreshments and live music.

“Like many programs at Parker, this event promotes positivity and connection, which support overall well-being. We also want to recognize our first responders, not only on New Year’s Eve, but all year long,” said President and CEO Michael N. Rosenblut. “Their dedication to community safety helps make this celebration possible as we wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.”

The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation is a leading provider of short term rehabilitation and long-term care.
