Editorial: Giving Hamas what they want

A widely circulated video clip shows Hamas “Member of Parliament” Fathi Hammad on Gaza TV early last year describing what can fairly be described as a death wish.

A translation by MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute) indicates that Hammad said, “For the Palestinian people death has become an industry at which women excel and so do all the people living on this land … It is as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: 'We desire death like you desire life.'”

For those who are unhappy with Israel’s operation to root out and kill Hamas terrorists we suggest a simple change of perspective that should make things right again:
