Breaking news: Shulamith settlement confirmed

Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Robert Miller has confirmed a settlement ending the legal battle between Shulamith School for Girls in Brooklyn and Bnot Shulamith of Long Island, over the assets of the Brooklyn school, according to a statement released Friday by the Brooklyn school.

“The settlement drafted has been approved by all parties and is in full effect,” the statement read, in part.

“The parties have been charged with the task of working in cooperation to separate the schools into two distinct entities,” it continued,” adding, “The board of directors proudly looks forward to welcoming the students of Shulamith of Brooklyn in September to its existing campus and continuing its distinguished tradition as a world class modern orthodox girls school in the heart of Flatbush.”
