2-year-old found in Lawrence indoor poor

A 2-year-old boy was found in an indoor pool of a Lawrence home by a family member at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, according to police.

Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded to the scene at 140 Harborview East at 12:38 p.m., according to Chief John McHugh. Hatzolah and Nassau County police were also on the scene and took the boy to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway before he was transferred to Cohen Children’s Hospital.

The boy’s condition was originally listed as serious. The story will be updated as more information becomes available.
