Tuman downs Grosz to face Rice

Douglas Tuman of West Hempstead defeated Cindy Grosz in last week’s 4th Congressional District Republican primary, with 74 percent of the vote. 

Tuman, 39, is now set to challenge Democratic Rep. Kathleen Rice in November. An attorney who is also the Town of Hempstead’s engineering commissioner, Tuman told Herald Community Newspapers that “now, in light of COVID-19 and the George Floyd tragedy, my priority is to rebuild our economy and come back stronger, safer and more united than ever before.

"My priority now is to get things back to normal.”
