HANC is Purim-ready

Posted

Students at HANC’s Samuel & Elizabeth Bass Golding Early Childhood Center and Elementary School, in West Hempstead, are getting ready for Purim. Nursery students at the ECC learned all about Purim and dressed up as Purim characters and acted out the Purim story. Students were excited to learn about reading the megillah, giving mishloach manot, making hamentaschen and dressing up in costume.

Nursery Aleph students also had a special Purim treat when they made their very own yummy chocolate chip and sprinkle hamentaschen!

At HANC 609, elementary school students welcomed Rosh Chodesh Adar II with a rockin’ Purim chagiga filled with singing and dancing. First graders in Morah Katz’s class welcomed Chodesh Adar by putting on a Purim puppet show using puppets they made themselves.

The students acted out the Purim story and sang songs about the mitzvot of Purim, including reading the megillah and delivering mishloach manot. The first graders also baked hamentaschen and decorated their own megillot.

Now, HANC’s first graders are ready for Purim!
