HAFTR parties at Sands, honoring 4 women leaders

The HAFTR community turned out last motzei Shabbat to celebrate the school’s four educational leaders.

More than 570 people filled the Atlantic Beach Sands for the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway’s 36th annual dinner, to honor these extraordinary women — Cyndy Goldberg, Early Childhood Director; Joy Hammer, Lower School Principal; Rochelle Brand, Middle School Principal; and Naomi Lippman, High School Principal.

The venue was filled with student artwork created especially for this event. HAFTR also presented plaques to educators who have been part of the HAFTR family for 25 years; together with the four leaders, they are a key component in allowing HAFTR to fulfill its mission of equipping its graduates with the knowledge needed to succeed as Modern Orthodox Jews in a modern world.
