Cedarhurst library explores the 2d Beis HaMikdash

During the nine days we prepare for Tisha B’Av and mourn the destruction of the Beis HaMikdash. But how do we mourn for something that we have never really experienced?

The Levi Yitzchak Library invites men and women for a virtual guided tour of the second Beis HaMikdash, on Monday, Aug, 8, at 8 pm.

An interactive slideshow, presented by Malka Touger, will point out hidden details and fascinating stories, beginning at the gates to the Beis Hamikdash and proceeding inward all the way to the Kodesh HaKodoshim.

Touger makes this fascinating topic come to life and poignantly relays that even today, we remain firmly connected to the Bais Hamikdash

“The study of the Torah’s description of the Beis HaMikdash is deemed equal to its actual construction. Go, tell them to study the form of the Beis HaMikdash. And, as a reward for their study..., I will consider it as if they had actually built the Beis HaMikdash!” (Midrash Tanchuma, Parshas Tzav)

The Levi Yitzchak Library is at 564 Central Ave. in Cedarhurst. Call 516-374-2665.
