Before the big night, seders are child’s play

Leading up to the first seder on Friday night, it’s been a week of non-stop cleaning, shopping and cooking.

For children at Long Island’s day schools, there were plenty of seder-preparatoary events. At the Hebrew Academy of Five Towns and Rockaway, children posed with karpas props during a model seder.

At the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach, pupils used a pyramid backdrop to re-enact the Exodus, while others had hands-on experience in matzah preparation.
