The OU said it was grateful to the Almighty,  to law enforcement, to national political leaders, to the Secure Community Network and others.

“The OU Advocacy Center will continue our engagement with policymakers at the highest levels to deliver the resources our communities need to be safe and secure,” the OU said, and “will continue to work to ensure that members of our community — and of all faith communities — can exercise the freedom to worship with freedom from fear.”

Agudath Israel of America

@AbbaCohen1 tweeted thanks to Hashem and also to “government and law enforcement officials who together were determined and worked hard to bring this to a peaceful end.”

Rabbinical Council of America

The RCA sent this letter on Monday:

Dear Rabbi Cytron-Walker,

Following the harrowing ordeal that you and your community faced this past Shabbat, the Rabbinical Council of America expresses its deep gratitude to God, to law enforcement, and to all those who prayed for your wellbeing, for the safe and positive outcome that followed hours of danger and uncertainty.

By all accounts, you handled the attack on your synagogue and the hostage situation of which you were a victim with courage and dignity, representing your community and our people with aplomb.

We join with all Jewry, and all people of good will, in wishing you, your family, and community healing and wellbeing, with the prayer that all our people everywhere, as well as all houses of worship, be spared from further hate, threat, terror, and violence.
