3 stars headline Yachad concert at Shulmaith

Three stars of the Jewish music scene — Simcha Leiner, Duvie Shapiro and Aryreh Kunstler — delighted Chanukah celebrants who packed the theater of the Shulamith School for Girls in Cedarhurst for Yachad's inaugural concert.

In a Chanukah-theme polyester suit, the hyper-energetic Kosher Guru, who MC'd the evening, pumped up the second-candle crowd.

The evening began with the lighting of a chanukiah by Jake Rosenthal, a participant in the Yachad adult program, followed by Duvie Shapiro who performed his newly released song, "Lech El Zeh," and the hit "Thank you HaShem."

Simcha Leiner took the stage for a set of classic songs, Chanukah hits and his own compositions. The crowd danced and sang as Simcha performed.

Aryeh Kunsteler surprised the crowd by joining Simcha on stage for a couple of songs, lending his soulful voice in harmony.

Later, Duvie Shapiro joined Simcha for a rendition of classic hits, with Duvie and Simcha singing in harmony.

It was a beautiful evening of music and spirit, as the community joined together, b'Yachad, to support Yachad as it expands its services for individuals with disabilities in the greater Five Towns area, across the East Coast and beyond.
