Amidst their piles of school work and extra-curricular activities, the students of North Shore Hebrew Academy High School in Great Neck still find ample time to donate to the community. Ninth and tenth graders at North Shore are required to perform thirty hours of community service per year; however, many upperclassmen continue their volunteer endeavors throughout their high school careers. more
The students of NSHAHS are always seeking new and unique ways to fight for causes, but this past week, they really outdid themselves. Several students, each with a parent or relative who has battled with some form of cancer, came together and decided to stand up to a plague that has impacted so many lives. more
They raised questions, hypothesized, tested and made winning designs, earning prizes at the Yeshiva Science Olympiad on March 6. This year’s venue was Touro College’s Lander College for Men, welcoming students into its lab classrooms. “It’s important for the Orthodox community to contribute to science for the betterment of the world. We welcome these talented young men and women on our campus,” said Dean Dr. Moshe Sokol. more
