SKA welcomes 9th graders

Anticipating starting a new school can be intimidating, but not for the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls’ Class of 2021, who participated in SKA’s Yom Chaverut on Sunday, May 7.

The incoming ninth graders were welcomed by Head of School Helen Spirn and Assistant Principal Elana Flaumenhaft, together with Associate Principal Deena Kobre; the director of student programs, Rabbi Yosef Zakutinsky; SKA social worker Lisa Fogel; grade level advisers Sheila Leibtag, Danielle Sudwerts and Estie Engel, and several SKA student ambassadors.

Girls from various elementary schools bonded over team-building activities and enjoyed a delicious lunch and ice cream cones from a special truck. Davening mincha together capped off the program in an inspirational way.
