UJA gathers vols in Syosset for Thanksgiving

Posted

Dozens of child and parent volunteers assembled and delivered Thanksgiving baskets for needy families, homebound seniors and veterans at a UJA-Federation of New York event in Syosset that was organized by the New Leadership Campaign and Connections Families Helping Families.

The baskets brought joy to Long Islanders receiving services from UJA-Federation beneficiary agencies, including Hatzilu Rescue Organization, the Lend a Hand Project, Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center, Rina Shkolnik Kosher Food Pantry in Woodmere, and the Samuel Field Y, and the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center.

Event chairs included Jennifer Pravato and Debi Yadegari, and Jamie Silverman, Eddie Zuckerbrot and Drew Donner served as Teen Chairs.
