Kosher Boulevard opens a new senior facility

Posted

One of the New York’s finest assisted living facilities is opening a sister location in Brooklyn, 25 minutes from the Five Towns.

Boulevard ALP, a completely kosher residence established in Flushing in 2005, will open at Spring Creek at Starrett City in a few weeks. The new facility promises a comfortable option for a frum lifestyle, with a large chapel hosting daily minyanim, Shabbos and holiday services, and weekly shiurim.

The new building boasts many large and lovely rooms in which residents can gather, including a library and computer room, a beauty salon, game and activity rooms, a outdoor patio that can be enjoyed during warm weather, and a pleasantly designed dining room.

While each resident will have a small refrigerator, microwave oven and cabinets in their furnished studio apartment, all meals are served in the dining room to encourage socialization. A mashgiach will be on premises from the Vaad of Queens.

Ten of the apartments are two-bedroom units, which are ideal for married couples, sisters, brothers or cousins to live together.

Boulevard ALP’s second floor houses a suite of medical offices where internist Dr. Adam Zeitlin is stationed. Skilled nursing and wound care, general nursing care, medication assistance, podiatric and psychology services are also available in the medical suite.

Trips and outings are regularly scheduled, and the social work office will assist with transportation. Laundry and cleaning services are provided, and home care aides are easily accommodated.

Director of Patient Services Sandra Rivas, RN, and Executive Director Volvi Katz have been hosting tours and discussing amenities with families and residents looking to move from their own homes to an assisted living facility.

Boulevard ALP, which will accommodate up to 184 residents, is an ideal place for independent seniors to enjoy their golden years in a manner they’ve been looking forward to, with a full measure of wellness, vitality and satisfaction, with a staff dedicated to creating a warm, friendly, safe and secure environment that will be enjoyed by all, they said.
