The Levi Yitzchak Family Center marked its seventh anniversary with a fund-raising award breakfast on Sunday. It also would have been the 18th birthday of Levi Yitzchak Wolowik, for whom the center is named.

“It’s a resource for our town, a place on Central Avenue where you can bring your children and they can do something good and educational,” said breakfast chair Ben Brafman, who urged Five Towners to contribute generously.

The breakfast honored, as “library ambassadors,” Avi and Danielle Aronovitz, Alan and Helene Gerber, and Jamie and Rachel Stahler.

The library operates in a storefront space at 564 Central  Ave. in Cedarhurst. It houses more than 13,000 books and offers such programming as homework helpers, mommy and me classes, interactive story time, holiday shows, and more.
