Coming this September, Kulanu’s limudai kodesh (Jewish Studies) program will be available to special needs students beyond those currently attending a Kulanu program. Torah L’Kulanu, a unique hands-on interactive program will fill a community need, said its director, Rabbi David Zeidel. more

Both children and adults doubled their fun as the beautiful weather and exciting attractions made Kulanu’s annual community fair at Andrew J. Parise Cedarhurst Park the place to be last Sunday. The fair raises money for the Cedarhurst-based Center for Special Services. “It is important to support Kulanu for the wonderful work that they do for the special needs children in the community,” said Jay Goldmark, a Woodmere resident. more

Just mention the name JJ Goldstein to anyone of any age at Young Israel of Woodmere, and immediately the utterance of his name will evoke a smile. Whether you’re talking about his participation in sports leagues, or chesed activities, such as Tomchei Shabbos, for which he was honored by the shul, JJ is involved with boundless energy and enthusiasm.
