Gabrielle Lovett, of Woodmere, is HAFTR’s Class of 2012 Valedictorian. At HAFTR Gabrielle was Captain of College Bowl, President of Model Congress, President of the National Honor Society, and participated in the following: Math Team, Science and Engineering Club, Science Research, Volleyball, Food Delivery to the Needy, Intel Competition. She plans to major in Chemistry at Columbia University. more
This week HAFTR had the pleasure of hosting the 25th annual Scott Satran basketball tournament. The HAFTR Invitational Scott Satran Memorial Tournament is a bittersweet occasion. It brings together students from eight different yeshiva high schools to commemorate a HAFTR alumnus, Scott Satran, who passed away 25 years ago from cancer at the age of 20. Every year this event bonds the HAFTR community and seven other schools together in remembrance. more

Ping-Pong balls rocketed back and forth at the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County elementary school. For the past eight weeks, HANC students ranging from the fourth to sixth grades have devoted their Mondays to skipping the school bus home and working on their serves and slammers. “It’s fun.
